Oak Haven Golf Club

Oak Haven is west of Macon and I-475, take exit #5, Mercer/Thomaston Rd./ Ga 74, west about 4 miles. The course is between a couple of small residential developments over slightly rolling hills, and a short layout. Not high end course, conditions, or clubhouse, just good basic golf at a reasonable rate, and some fun and interesting holes. It's only 6,100 yards from the back tees, par 70, with a 67.6 course rating and 111 slope. Good course management exercise, some drivable par 4's and 5's if you're accurate with the big stick. It was designed by Harry Long in the 1960's, and has been through a number of owners with course conditions up and down over the years, lately it's been OK, it's the weather that's been the problem. Nice setting, easily walkable, enjoyable layout, and you can go low here if you keep the ball in play.
