Northern Pines is on the north side of Syracuse, just south of Oneida Lake on Rt 31 in Cicero. The original nine holes were built in the 1970's, designed by George Swatt, and are parkland style, the newer nine was designed by Barry Jordan, and are more links-like in nature. Good combination of open and tight holes, a few ponds affecting play on several holes, and scattered bunkers throughout. The corridors along the holes are all natural without homes or development in play. Nothing more than basic clubhouse, driving range and putting green, but at a reasonable greens fee. Not one of our higher end courses in the Syracuse area, but a good value, and conditions have been improving there recently. It's 6,605 yards from the tips, par 71, with a 70.6 course rating and 125 slope, the white tees are 6,030 yards 69.5/120.
