Nicklaus re-design of the NPB muni, south of PGA Blvd, on the west side of US1, opposite the North Palm Beach Marina. One of the better munis I've ever played, bet the cost to run this course is steeper than a regular muni. Lots of sand, Nicklaus tough, not sure the course design favor the beginner or high handicapper, but it was Nicklaus's gift to the city, and it's a great course and value for the average golfer to low handicapper. The course is tough at 140 slope from the 7,000 yard back tees, but has three other tee boxes. Nicklaus took a fairly routine muni, and created a muni on steroids, plenty of sand, water, good sized and undulating greens, a real challenge to play. Rates can be expensive for a muni in season at +$100, and pace of play is poor, otherwise good choice for golf in the area.

Haven't played the course for years since Nicklaus re-designed and renovated the course. Took a run of the mill muni and turned it into a great track, open and linksy feel to it, but with its share of trees, but wide enough off the tee. It's more expensive than it used to be, but is now worth it.
