North Fork is southwest of Johnstown off Somerset Pike at Country Club Road. It's an old-style design by Ferdinand Garbin from the 1920's, and a tough layout to shoot your usual handicap. Tree lined fairways, small perched greens, and some quirky holes, it helps to play here a few times to get the hang of the layout. There's three sets of tees from 5,800 yards to 6,480 yards were the slope is 131. Parkland style of layout with tree lined fairways over rolling hills, moderately well bunkered, and smallish greens. A little rough around the edges conditioning-wise, but reasonably priced to play and rarely crowded.
