Nevel Meade is on the northeast side of Louisville, off I-71 at exit 14, KY 329, then north to the course. It's a Scottish links style of layout designed by Steve Smyers, and from the back tees is almost 7,000 yards, 72.2/122. It's a fun golf course to play, wide open off the tee, rolling hills, but has some trees, high heather or fescue type rough bordering the fairways, and a good amount of sand. The greens fees are reasonable, it's usually in pretty good shape. The course allows you to spray the ball a bit, and still get up and down, which fits my game well. It's pure golf course, not a house in sight, one of my go to courses in town.

Played Nevel yesterday, and the course was in great shape. Fairways are about as good as bent grass can be. Makes me wonder why all these courses are switching to zoysia and bermuda. There is nothing like peeling up a foot long divot from such beautiful fairways then placing it perfectly back in the hole created. The ball spins so much more coming off bent too. Greens were a little beat, but still in great shape and med-fast. Bunkers were in great condition. Tees were perfect. They have made a few small changes that help the course. Tee on seventeen has been improved. Fairway bunker on #7 right side has been taken out. Sixteen has new green that is in a little better shape. No complaints about this course except the design of #16 and #18. I was 130 out on #18 and it is supposed to be a par 5. $20 to walk is a great deal here.
