Natanis Golf Course is on the west side of Weber Pond, off US 201 and I-95, just north of Augusta, and an hour borth of Portland and one hour South of Bangor, There's 36 holes here, mostly through the woods, with the best nine holes the Indian Territory, part of the Arrowhead course, the other course is Tomahawk. The Arrowhead course, designed by Phil Wogan and Paul Brown, is 6,240 yards,117 slope has more open, tree lined fairways, well bunkered with some water in play, mostly level, but a couple of holes with good elevation change. It's the more forgiving of the two courses, and better for the higher handicappers. The Tomahawk course is a Dan Maples design, much like Arrowhead in that it's parkland style with tree lined fairways, a little longer at 6,607 yards, and tougher at 132 slope. Maintenance was OK when we played, rates seemed fair, not the caliber of Belgrade Lakes, as an example, but a good solid layout.

This is my home course, so I may be a little biased, but this is one of the nicest courses around the area. The greens are always in good shape and it's challenging enough for golfers of all skill levels. Check it out the next time your in the area!
