The Naples Grande Golf Club, next to Tiburon, is the best golf course in Naples that's open to public play. It's at the former Registry Resort that was changed to the Naples Grand Beach Resort, and you have to stay here or the Edgewater Beach Hotel. The golf course is a Rees Jones design that's routed through pine trees, wetlands, and natural areas without a house or condo in sight...unusual for Naples. Fair and playable course, mostly wide open off the tee, moderate use of bunkers, good sized greens with a lot of undulation. Water in play throughout the course, the front side warms you up for a much more challenging backside. Good steady golf course layout with some interesting holes, and some bland ones, but all in all very enjoyable, and in excellent condition.
