Mountain View Golf Course

Mountain View is off Buffalo Soldier Trail on Fort Huachuca on the west side of Sierra Vista, owned and operated by the military. Conditions aren't generally all that good, the facilities are just basic, but it's cheap. Tthe course is routed through the desert scrub with scattered trees lining the fairways. It was designed by Ed Collett in the 1960's, and from the back tees plays to 6,879 yards, 71.9 course rating and a 126 slope. Wide open for the most part off the tee, a few holes with water, some sand, and good sized greens, playable for all levels. Fairways are forgiving, straight, and wide, bordered by the desert without anything lining the curse, and nice views of the mountains. Basic golf at a reasonable rate, never all that busy.
