Morningstar Golfers Club

Morningstar is southeast of Milwaukee in Waukesha, take the 50 exit off I-43, then west on national Ave to Oakdale Drive, then north. Beautiful course built in a former quarry, very proud of the course, the greens fees are high for the area, but you can always count on excellent conditions, and a well maintained pace of play. The course was designed by Rick Jacobson, and from the back tees plays to 6,785 yards, 72.4/137, and is a very challenging and scenic layout, one of the better courses in the general area. Because it was carved through the quarry, several of the holes have huge drops in elevation. At least three tees are hundreds of feet above the green. Several other holes go straight uphill, inclining more than meets the eye. Some of the views, including the 506-yard, downhill 18th hole, are beautiful, especially in the Fall. Great variety in the holes, each one is unique and separate, and interesting, not a lay up on the course to catch your breath on. The views are spectacular, especially on the deck at the clubhouse, where you can enjoy a beer and see 13 holes down below?
