Misty Creek Country Club

Misty Creek is a private club, but has been open for public play during the recession, just call ahead to see if they have available public tee times. From the gold tees it's 6,895 yards, 137 slope and 73.3 course rating, and can play as short as 5,357 yards from the front tees, and was designed by Ted McAnlis. It's east of I-75, depending on whether you're coming from the north or south it's either exit 205 or 207, then 2 miles east to the Bee Ridge extension. Overall, a high quality course, setting, and conditioning, and one of the better courses in the area. It has Champion grass greens which are some of the best surfaces for consistency and durability in the heat. It's a parkland style layout though wetlands, bunkers, and lakes with only a few homes lining the course, and really not a distraction. Good clubhouse facilities, nice pace of play for a member club, a must play if you can get on.
