Mistwood is down in Romeoville, off I-55 off Renwick road east of the Lewis University Airport, about an hour from downtown. Contoured fairways, well bunkered, scattering of trees, more links like than parkland, mid to large greens, extremely well conditioned, with water in play on almost every hole, and five holes routed along a lake.Designed by Ray Hearn, slope from the tips is 137, 6700 yards, and can play as short as 5200 yards. Challenging, course, conditions have improved considerably, rates are across the board, depending on when you want to play.

Looking forward to the course reopening in June after some renovation, part of a $6M plan of improvements, always been a decent layout, hope to see big improvements!

Played Mistwood yesterday, course was in good shape, pace of play was just over 4.5 hours, saw the cart girl a couple of times, enjoyable layout, very difficult for my game, and it keeps you on your toes.

Hadn't played Mistwood in a while, hadn't been in that great of shape the last couple of years, but this week found it to be in good condition, especially the greens, customer service was better, well there was none to speak of before, they also changed the three starting holes to what used to be 7,8,9, which was interesting. Always liked the layout, and will definitely return more often this season.
