Mississippi National Golf Club is north of Gautier and I-10, near the Gautier-Vancleave exit, routed through an residential community. The course opened in the mid-1960's, and was designed by Earl Stone, a parkland style of layout through magnolias, dogwoods, and Spanish Moss covered old oaks over fairly level land. Water comes into play on 10 holes, and there's plenty of sand throughout, mostly greenside. Tough layout from the tips at 6,517 yards, 73.1/128 ratings, interesting and varied layout with a lot of risk/reward opportunities. Well conditioned, nice clubhouse, rates were a little steep.
