Meadowbrook Farms Golf Club
Meadowbrook Farms is in an upscale housing development in Katy, south of I-10 at the Westpark Tollway. It can play to 7100 yards, 137 slope from the back tees, and is a Greg Norman design. Expensive, especially on the weekends, nice design, roomy off the tee, well guarded greens, with the opportunity the run the ball up. Mostly an open, links type of golf course with Scottish like sod-wall bunkers, some trees in play, wetlands, streams, and lakes. Very challenging, and playable, lot of variety in the hole strategy. Very good greens, fast and undulating, the fairway's rough is tall fescue type of grassing, and will cost you a stroke. Enjoyable, would play more often if it wasn't so pricey.
