The course is located less than an hour away from Downtown Denver in Loveland. The layout is routed through small hills, open meadow type feel and adjoins the foothills. The Big Thompson river flows through portions of the course and provides a not only scenic, but strategic feature to your course management. This course while not incredibly long at 6,604 yards from the back tees and 130 slope The course is fun to play with a variety of lies and shots, and some elevated tees to wide open fairways, and is reasonably good condition for a city owned course. Trees are constantly in play on this course and water comes into play 8 of the holes. The sand traps are the commercial grade sand, not the white sugar sand you find in the high end courses, just stay out out them. The greens are inconsistent. Some holes they're somewhat flat, the very next hole they can be slick and undulating, so it pays to play the course more than once.
