Majestic Oaks is located on Bunker Lake Road, west of Rt 65 in Ham Lake, about 30 minutes north of downtown Minneapolis. Two 18 hole parkland style courses here as well as a 9 hole executive course. The Platinum course is 7,073 yards, 137 slope, and a 75.3 course rating from the blues, and was designed by Charles Maddox in the 1960's. It's the more challenging and the longer of the two courses with some tough holes, water in play on at least half the holes, and well bunkered with big greens. The Majestic Oaks Gold course is 6,396 yards, 131 slope and 71.8 course rating from the gold tees, and was designed by Garrett Gill. It's a little more narrow, but shorter and better for the higher handicapper with a good amount of water in play as well with tight approaches to the small to mid sized greens. Both courses are bent grass from tee to green, well maintained, and reasonably priced, but get a lot of play and are slow at times.

This course is well run and is challenging, yet fun to play. The staff here treats you with great respect, are friendly and helpful. The fairways are mostly narrow and is better if you leave the driver in the bag. The greens are good sized, well cared for, and with average speed. Not a whole lot of trouble on the golf course, enjoyable round, reasonable rates.
