Magnolia Greens is jut northwest of Wilmington off the Andrew Jackson Highway(US 74) at Ocean Highway, then south for a mile. It's a fine parkland style of layout, through the Magnolia Greens community, with a number of holes through the housing development. There's 27 holes here, the Magnolia at 3,476 yards, the Camellia at 3.575 yards, and the Azalea at 3,422 yards, all from the tips. The ratings from the black tee for Magnolia/Camellia are 74.2/ 138; for Camellia/Azalea 73.9/ 134; and Magnolia/Azalea, 73.5/135. It's a relatively flat layout through the trees and housing with large greens without a lot of undulating and sloping, plenty of water and sand, and a fair golf course overall off the tee. They had accomodations here, villas on the golf course, but we were staying at the beach and drove about 30 minutes to play here. Good solid golf course, not the best in town, but conditions were good, and the rates fair.

The greens were consistently true, and though rain has been scarce, the course was very green. Enjoyable, forgiving course. The food at the turn was top notch. No cart girl all day...
