Madeline Island Golf Club

Madeline Island Golf Club is on one of the 22 islands in the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore; on Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin, 80 miles east of Duluth. A lot of summer activities here in addition to golf with lighthouses, sea caves, hiking trails, fishing and sailing. Take the 3 mile trip on the ferry to Madeline to one of Robert Trent Jones Sr's original designs. The course is routed through a forest with tree lined fairways on rolling terrain, and is a fair course, where your 3 wood is probably better suited than the driver. From the white tees, it's 6,000 yards, with a slope rating of 127 and a course rating of 69.7. Well conditioned, good rates, and a neat experience.
