Lost "Balls" Canyons is located in Simi Valley just off the 118, and were designed by Pete Dye with some softening and enhancements later by Freddy Couples. Two tough 18 holes courses here, the Sky Course is 7295 yards, 147 slope from the back tees, and follows the canyon ridge lines of the land here, with some great views and elevation changes, and the Shadow course below. The Shadow course is 7005 yards and 145 slope from the tips and is as difficult as the Sky course, and is routed through the valley and canyons below the Sky course. Shotmaking and course management is the key here, as well as the tee box selection for your particular game. It's located in a beautiful environment, excellent conditioning, and great guest service. There's a plan floating to close down one of the courses and build an upscale residential community, but given the market today, not sure that will happen anytime soon.

Just played yesterday and the course conditions were deplorable, can't believe they've let this great golf course slip in such a short period of time. The greens were rough and patcy in spots, the pace of play 5+ hours, all in all a poor pefrormance by Lost Canyons

This course is a "must play". I have heard that it is a legend in the making and I agree wholeheartedly! If in the area do not miss playing at least one of these courses. Both courses feature beautiful scenery and challenging play form tee to green. The greens are extremely challenging even for the low handicappers. I suspect you'll see a tour event here someday. Best Hole: #18 Why: The view as you come over the ridge is amazing!
