Los Rios Country Club is in Plano, about 30 minutes north of downtown Dallas. It's a classic and traditional course designed by Don January in the mid 1970's. Definitely doesn't compare with all the new upscale and updated more modern golf courses in the area, but is a bit of a throwback. The course is big and roomy, and is parkland style with tree-lined fairways, on mostly flat land in a river valley with a stream coming into play on 14 holes. From the back tees, it plays to a par 71, 6500 yards, 127 slope, and 72.2 course rating. Nice conditioning, greens were in great shape, and the rate is good. Nice course for the mid-handicapper.
