The Pointe Golf Club is part of the Hilton at Tapatio Cliffs. It's located between I-15 and the 51/Piestewa Freeway on Thunderbird at N. 7th. The course is a desert style layout, resort-like and forgiving, and from the back tees plays to 6611 yards, 71.2 course rating and a 135 slope with a easier start on the front, the back side's a little more target style golf. Nice conditions, good elevation change, great viewpoints, somewhat open off the tee, but then narrows on approach to the greens, with some interesting water holes. The course was designed by Bill Johnson and opened in 1989, fun all around, some very challenging holes, and some to catch your breath on.

Played this weekend, they hadn't punched the greens yet like the rest of the courses in the Valley. Found the course to be in good condition, rates were reasonable. The course is always challenging, yet it's a resort so it's somewhat forgiving. Would always recommend playing here if the rates are right.
