Lone Tree Golf Club is on the far south side of Denver, south of the 470, and west of I-25 off Lincoln, routed through a residential community. It was originally a private course and includes a small hotel and large clubhouse and was purchase and now operated by the South Suburban Parks and Rec. It's a an Arnold Palmer-design of just over 7,000 yards from the tips, 72.6/133. Well maintained course usually, expensive for the non-resident, and a very challenging layout which wanders through the community. There's only a couple of blind shots, but depending on the tees you play, it's very playable, and enjoyable to play, doesn't beat you up. The fairways are always in great shape, offering tight lies, and the rough is kept just long enough. There's a good amount of bunkers and the occasional water will catch the wayward drive. Can get busy on the weekends, and a 5 hour round is possible.

Lone Tree is a dump, tired and dated, needs a change, the golf course has so much potential, and used to be high quality. I hear they've hire Troon Golf to run the place, hopefully we'll see some improvements.

This is my home course and it features some very nice terrain built throughout the course. The front side is flatter and more of a prairie type course. You'll have 3 blind shots (2, 4, and 8) off the drive. The back 9 is much tougher with many more blind shots with twists and turns through homes and up the Daniels Park hills. The course is in great shape with well manicured fairways and rough. For the money, this course is tough to beat.

Played as a foursome. Course was in great shape. Tee boxes, rough, fairways and greens were all in good shape. Played in 4hours 10 min. Staff was nice. Rangers hovered around all day but didn't say a word.
