The Links at Boynton Beach is a reasonably good muni, located east of the Turnpike at Hypoluxo Rd. and Gateway Blvd on Jog Road. From the tips, it's only 6,297 yards par 71, course rating of 70.3 and a 128 slope, and was designed by Devlin/von Hagge in the early 1980's. Very aggressive pace of play management here, sometimes bordering on annoying, but it does get you around in 4 hours or so. Fairly routine Florida style golf course with a good amount of water, moderate use of sand, and tree lined, although not heavy, fairways. "Links" is definitely a misnomer in that classic links courses have no water or trees, but whatever. Well maintained golf course, muni type clubhouse and facilities, overall OK, rates are higher than what you'd expect from a muni though. .

never again.. at the turn we were told that we "could NOT" stop for something to eat. i said "your kidding". some guy replied that if we stopped we could buy anything that we wanted but we would have to eat it in the carts. ???????? we stopped, and while using the facilites we watched two foursomes play thru. i was chastised for not continuing our play by one of the time keepers while i was trying to wolf down a hot dog. max stop time 8 minutes. went on to #10. by the 13th tee box the closest players to our foursome were 2 holes behind us. some course marshall drives up and ORDERS us to pick up the pace. My girlfriend politely asked why the rush. his reply, "do as your told or action will be taken". and then he drove away. I KID YOU NOT. i eventually caught up with him... we spoke briefly... he called Danno for back up... i said "don't bother... we were definitely leaving anyway".. they gave me 1/2 my money back.... i should have held out for all of it. I've golfed all over the world and I've never been treated so poorly. the parking lot was, at best, half full. upon reflection it should have been no surprise. absolutely incredible. i kid you not... this place isn't worth the gas you'll use to get there.
