Lick Creek Golf Course

Edit this info

Lick Creek is one of the best golf courses in Central Illinois. It opened in the mid-1970's, but was renovated a few years ago and updated, and is a good solid parkland style of layout operated by the Pekin Park District. From the tips it plays to 6,909 yards, par 72 with ratings of 73.1/128. and is pure golf, no houses or development on the course. It's bentgrass from tee to green, and was designed by Roger Packard. of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 73.1 and it has a slope rating of 128 on Rye grass. Designed by Roger B. Packard. Can play very long, especially if it's wet, but there's three shorter sets of tee boxes. The course has it all, water, well bunkered, good sized and quick greens, and is challenging, but fair, and not tricked up at all. The course record was only 67 at one time, PGA golfer DA POINTS played in high school golf. The greens are huge, sloped and very fast, which is not always true in public golf courses, plus it's a bargain to play here.

Fantastic layout - not one weak hole. Best green surrounds in the area. If you're not on the green you're in a trap or a collection area twenty yards from it. The course is among the best in the area. Flag Content
