Lewis River is about 45 minutes north of Portland in Woodland, WA. It's only 5 minutes off I-5 at Exit 21 to the east on Lewis River Road. Classic Northwest style wooded course with thick trees lining every fairways, routed over level land on the Lewis River. We played from the tips at 6,300+ yards, 68.7/116, and it was a good test with mostly 3-wood and rescue off the tee in an attempt to keep the ball in play. The course originally opened in the 1960's, designed by Ralph Stading, we found it to be in excellent condition, and the rates low mid-week. Scenic location along the river in the foothills of the Cascades, you must stop for a post round sandwich and beer on the outdoor patio overlooking the river.
