The Lenoir Golf Club is on the southeast side of Lenoir where Wilkesboro intersects with Blowing Rock Blvd, in fact the course is split by Blowing Rock. The course is a classic Donald Ross original from the 1920's, maintained and preserved in pretty much the manner it was designed. It's typical of a Ross course with tree lined fairways, small, mushroom type greens, well bunkered, tough up and downs, and tight overall. It's not all that long at 6,385 yards from the tips, and is tough to shoot your handicap at a 125 slope and 71.3 course rating. Flat layout, easy to walk, rates are reasonable, always a treat to play a Donald Ross layout.
