Two very good golf courses here, the Flamingo Island, a Robert Trent Jones, Sr design, and the Mustang, a Lee Trevino design. They're located in the Lely residential/resort development on the south side of Naples, and there's a third course here by Gary Play, but not open to the public. Flamingo Island was the first course here, fair, but challenging layout, through tree lined fairways, water in play throughout, playing to somewhat large greens, well guarded by Jones fingered bunkers. From the black tees, the course is 6527 yards, Par 72, and is unusually demanding from the back tees. The greens are large and well protected by traps. The Mustang seemed a bit more forgiving, at least off the tee, and was somewhat similar in layout, a lot of water and sand, but with more mounded fairways. From the back tees it was 7217 yards, par 72. Mustang is challenging, but more fair and resort-like than the Island course. Both, well conditioned, slow pace of play during the season, and on the expensive side, like all decent courses in the Naples area.
