Legends on the Niagara is located just an hour and a half outside of downtown Toronto, and minutes from the Peace, Rainbow and Whirlpool Bridges, and maybe an hour from Buffalo. In additional to the Whirlpool Golf Course, the Niagara Parks System operates one of the best collection of golf courses in one spot. The courses are adjacent to the War of 1812 battlefield, and runs along the Niagara River, and is south of the Falls. The two courses here are on a 1000 acre tract of land, so here's plenty of room for the routing, and isolated holes, along with a huge driving range, and a 9 hole short course, Chippawa. Doug Carrick designed the Battlefield, at 7224 yards from the tips, 135 slope, a links style course with some parkland type of holes, very interesting design and challenging with 100+ bunkers, water on 10 holes, and a view of the Falls from the 13th. Thomas McBroom designed Usher's Creek, a parkland layout with water in play on nine holes, and well bunkered around the greens and fairways throughout the course, and mostly tree lined holes Can play up to 7308 yards, 134 slope . Both courses extremely well maintained and managed, and combined with the Whirlpool are a great trio of courses in the Niagara Falls area.
