Built in 1986 and designed by Arnold Palmer, the course is in northwest Phoenix north of the 101 freeway. The course plays to 6969 yards, 131 slope from the tips, and is a more traditional type of golf course routed around six lakes, palm trees with a good amount of dogleg holes. The layout is well bunkered, with some of the better greens in the area, at a reasonably good value. The fairways are wide and forgiving for most errant shots, and there's a good amount of Palmer risk/reward holes. The course rolls with grass tee to green, not a desert target golf experience. Good conditions generally.
