The Legacy is one of the more scenic golf courses to play in the Atlanta area, routed along and above Lake Lanier, it just doesn't get any better for views from a golf course. We generally play from the Blue tees at 6,200 yards, 71.0/137 and find it a tough layout, can't imagine playing the tips at 6,600 yards. The current layout is the former Emerald Point Golf Club, which was designed by Billy Fuller with twelve of the holes alongside the lake. Very difficult layout where placement is more important than distance, tight approaches, a lot of trouble and tight fairways.
