A beautiful David Toms design challenging yet enjoyable less than a year old about 45 minutes west of New Orleans great hidden jewel. From the black tees the course plays to 7,170 yards, 74.5/133, but has three other tees down to 5,600 yards at the front. The course is in Matthews, which is halfway between New Orleans and Morgan City off US 90, and is part of a real estate development. The course is level, links-style with water in play on most holes, and well bunkered. The greens are good sized with slight undulation, challenging course to play, especially in the wind.

LaTour evidently have some very hard working green keepers because the greens were in immaculate condition. The fairways were in great condition as were the tee boxes Plenty of wate in play, and due to the soft fairways it plays longer than the yardage if it is windy (and it was windy) and is quite a challenge. I would play here again and again and again and again.
