Larchmont is on Reserve St, off either Fort Missoula Road or Post Siding Road next to Fort Missoula Park on the southwest side of town. It's a traditional style of layout with tree lined fairways, a good amount of bunkering, and water in play on a number of holes. It was designed by Dick Watson and Keith Hellstrom, and from the tips plays to just over 7,000 yards, 71.9 course rating and a 117 slope. The course is one of the better publics in Missoula, holds the annual Montana Open, is easily walkable, usually well groomed, with nice views of the surrounding mountains, and a good challenge, but fair.

We had an amazing time, I've told everyone I know how much I like this course. Yes, the tee shots can be tough on some holes. From there it's all about playing for roll and playing contours. Much more fun than the point and shoot courses I usually play in the mountains.
