Langdon Farms is located just outside of Portland on the south side of town near Wilsonville. It is one of the better courses in the Portland area and was designed by Robert Cupp and John Fought, and from the back tees plays to 6934 yards with a 143 slope. The course drains very well, and is playable in soaking conditions. The layout is unusual for the area with depressed fairways through the parkland style of course design. The greens are large, and soft with good undulations and are surrounded by mounded collection areas which catch the errant shot, creating some tough up and downs, but are mostly open in the front to allow the bump and run shot. It's a course management strategy here, rather than power, including the 6th hole, the toughest 100-yard par 3 you'll ever play. The par 5's are reachable depending on your game and the tee boxes you choose, and overall the course is fun and challenging to play.
