Lakota Canyon is part of a real estate development just west of Glenwood Springs off I-70 in a fantastic setting. It was designed by James Engh along the Western Colorado canyons and natural terrain, and it's really tough to keep your game together when you're surrounded by such stunning beauty, especially on the front nine. It can play to around 7100 yards, 137 slope from the back tees, but be sure to play the tees best suited for your game cause there's a lot of trouble just short and off the fairways. There's a good amount of elevated tees here, which along with the altitude help with some booming drives, that can just as easily go off course as on the fairways. The greens are mid sized, sloping, some elevated, and relatively fast.
