Lakewood is about 30 minutes east of Fayetteville. It's a nice drive out in the country, where the course is on its own without development or housing surrounding it. It's a parkland style of layout with tree lined fairways over flat land, The course has been around since the 1960's, designed by R.T. Burney, 6,550 yards from the tips, we generally play from the white tees at 6,000+ yards, 69.4/120. While all the fairways are tree lined, it's generally forgiving off the tee, the greens are large, there's a little sand and water, but otherwise a basic, straightforward and playable course at a reasonable rate, but a little rough around the edges.
