Lake Monticello is south of Charlottesville, off RT 53/Thomas Jefferson Parkway a few miles south of town. It's routed through an established neighborhood to the south of Lake Monticello, with mostly heavy tree lined fairways over rolling land. The course was designed by Buddy Loving in the 1970's, and tips out at 6,900 yards, 74.1/138 ratings. It's hilly and long between some of the holes, but walkable. Traditional style of layout, very straightforward with a few doglegs, water, sand, and tight tree corridors. Laid back feel to the clubhouse and the whole experience, a good middle of the road course to play in the Charlottesville area.
