Southwest Ireland, course was originally designed by Old Tom Morris with numerous revisions by Alister Mackenzie, Charles Gibson, and John Burke. Remodels completed in the last few years have brought the course back to its original layout. My favorite course in the west of Ireland, and one of the most fun to play links courses there is. There's some quirky holes, like The Dell - the blind par three 5th with the green set into a deep amphitheater surrounded by dunes. Once over the protecting dune, the green is wide open. The 4th and 18th fairways criss-cross, and on the 4th hole named "Klondyke", there's a 50 foot sand dune in front of the green. Needless to say, caddies are useful.

A phenomenal track and one of Alistair MacKenzie's finest creations. Played there yesterday and I always enjoy the course thoroughly. A great test in all conditions.

I knew Lahinch was going to be a great golf course, but honestly, it blew me away in terms of just how good it is. There are very few places I've had more fun golfing, than at Lahinch. The 3rd through the 7th at LahinIch has to be one of the best streches of holes in golf. Absolutely loved Lahinch, and preferred it to Ballybunion.

Lahinch is in the same level as Royal County Downs for me on some stretches, and far outshines Ballybunion in my opinion. Some truly outstanding and stunning holes and views hers, but also some real quirky holes, blind shots, curious design, Great fun to play, but most of the courses here are on a sunny day with no rain! The par three's are all excellent, the par 5's is where you have a chance to score, and the par 4's take it all away.
