Lagoon is owned and run by the City of Montgomery. It's on the northeastern side of town, of N. Eastern Blvd. The course opened in 1978, plays to 6770 yards from the rear tees, with a 72.1 course rating and a 124 slope, but has three other tee boxes. It was designed by Charles Graves as part of the city's Lagoon Park. It's a fairly well maintained parkland style course with a heavy dose of landscaping, like azaleas and dogwoods bordering the fairway, and is especially nice in the spring. It gets a good amount of play, and the time to play a round is up near 5 hours at times. It has some great holes, especially the par threes, and the greens are fairly large, and generally fast. A good solid test at a reasonable rate.

Tough course, tight fairways, was in Ok condition, pace of play was a little slow, but the greens fees were under $25.
