Located 30 minutes outside of Santa Barbara, the course was designed by Robert Muir Graves, and hard to find fault with any of his course designs. From the back tees, its' 7105 total yards, 143 slope with four other sets of tees. It opened in 1986 on a great 300 acre tract of rolling oak tree covered sand hills. The fairways are narrow with deep bunkers defining the landing areas and is long with elevation changes and fast undulating greens. There is an excellent variety to the holes, and none I would consider weak, and the constant wind in the afternoons can make it pretty tough. It's rarely crowded, but morning are best before the afternoon winds kick up. It's a beautiful location and setting, and the course is kept in great shape, a must play if you're in the area;

Toughest golf course I believe I've ever played, not forgiving in any respect, you're really need to play target golf to have a chance at a decent score, and you won't beat your handicap by any stretch.
