Koshkonong Mounds CC

Koshkonong is on the east side of Lake Koshkonong in Fort Atkinson, about 40 minutes southeast of Madison, and is the only 18 hole course in the Fort Atkinson area. It's private, but open to public play, It's a little expensive, but very well cared for, nice clubhouse and facilities, and never all that crowded. The routing is parkland style through the indian mounds that dot the area, and is interesting and somewhat forgiving off the tee. We've played from the White tees at 6,200+ yards, 68.0/118 and find it very playable and enjoyable, but a good challenge. It's a little tricky the first time out with some blind shots, and fast sloping greens, knowing where to hit the ball off the tee and on approach will save you a few strokes.
