King's Grant is on the north side of Fayetteville, on the east side of Fort Bragg. From I-95 it's an easy exit take I-295 west until it dead-ends into US 401 right at the golf course. The course has made significant improvement over the years with the conditioning of the layout and upgrading the facilities. It's a tight, target type of layout routed through a residential community with tree lined fairways. The course was designed by Jim Holmes in the early 1990's as part of the residential development, and from the tips plays to 6,300 yards, with three shorter sets of tees for a par of 71. We play from the 6,100 yard middle tees at a 125 slope, and find it tough to shoot our handicaps. The rates are reasonable for the quality of the course and facilities, the greens are generally the best conditioned in town. Good variety of holes, long and short par 4's, par 5's in two, and fun par 3's. Very convenient to the interstate, and enjoyable if you can keep your tee ball in play.
