Keystone is on the northeast side of Gainesville in Keystone Heights. It's an old Donald Ross design from the 1920's, and is routed through an established residential community with homes lining half the holes. It's very walkable, the greens and tees are mostly close together and it's flat. Typical of the older courses, it's very straightforward, the fairways are lined with trees, the greens small and perched and well protected by bunkers. It's a shot maker's delight, a bomber's nightmare. Conditioning is usually good, the rates reasonable, and the clubhouse. It's a short layout, 6,100 yards from the tips, 118 slope, but plays tougher than that.
