This course is public and part of the Kentucky State Park system and is located 21 miles southeast of Paducah, I-24 to Exit 27. Somehow the state convinced Perry Maxwell, who designed Southern Hills in Tulsa, and Colonial in Ft Worth to design this course for them. It's a great layout, a little rough around the edges, but what you'd expect for a state run course. Rolling fairways, tree lined, large grass greens with moderate undulation with light bunkering in the fairways, but around most greens, and water on only one hole. Fair, but challenging depending on the tees you play, from the tips it's 6,704 yards, 135 slope and a 73 course rating.
