Kelvin Heights Golf Club

Queenstown is a the main resort area located on Lake Wakatipu at the base of the Remarkables Range in west Otago. The Queenstown Golf Club has two Golf Courses, Kelvin Heights, an 18 hole championship course with is routed over Lake Wakatipu on its own peninsula, playing to 6100 meters from the back tees, par 72, and a 9 holer and practice range. It's one of the most beautiful settings for a golf course you will find, and the course, a parkland style is a nice challenge, but the scenery is the calling card. The course is routed over a rolling plateau and ridges of land on the Kelvin Heights peninsula with views of the Southern Alps and down the lake. I must admit the course is somewhat of a blur, was so mesmerized by the scenery, the course just seemed to pass by. It was a parkland style with good elevation change, and reasonable condition, but the views here are out of this world.
