Jefferson Landing is in the far northwest corner of NC near the VA border about 2 hours northwest of Winston Salem. The course is 7,110 yards, 135 slope, and 72.3 course rating from the blue tees, and was designed by Larry Nelson in the early 1990's. Nice setting at the base of Mt. Jefferson, and along the New River, wonderfully maintained, with good open fairways and landing zones. Fair golf course, challenging but not penal, the greens are large with good undulation. and there's a lot of water in play, lakes or streams on most of the holes. Each hole is different, lots of variety here with doglegs, sloping fairways, elevation change, really very interesting and fun to play for the first time. Excellent conditions, great service in the pro shop and clubhouse, would always recommend playing here if you find yourself in the area.

The golf course was in fair shape, fun to play, very scenic, challenging throughout, more target golf than wide open. Would definitely play again

Nice golf course for the price, a few patches here and there, but overall course conditions were OK. The setting for the course is nice, the layout itself challenging, but not such much that you won't enjoy your game. Rates were fair given the course's quality. Would play again.
