The course and resort are classic in the sense of a mountain setting and facilities. The resort purchased the original property in 1967, and hired Robert Trent Jones to remodel the original Bob Baldock design, and was once again consulted In 2004 to a minor redesign. The setting is 6200 feet above sea level, which definitely helps the ball carry 10%-15% further. There's great view all around the course. and the layout is routed around several lakes and creeks as well as the natural landscape that comes into play. The greens are large and well bunkered. It plays to 7,168 yards from the longest tees, par 72, course rating is 72.5, and a slope rating of 123. It's pricey, but a special experience, impeccable conditions and service.
