The course is just west of Kennett Square off US 1, from the back tees it's 6657 yards and a 147 slope originally designed by Gil Hanse, then a redesign by Hurdzan-Fry, the course opened in 1998. Even after the redesign and softening, the course is still difficult, and requires good course management to score well, as you plot your way around the course. Well maintained, decent pace of play, and good guest service, but the course is a bit tricked up for my tastes and to play often. The layout is roomy, on about 300 acres of rolling hills, with tree lined fairways, tall native grasses, creeks and wetlands. Still it's a highly regarded course in the area, you just need to play it a few times to get the feel for the strategy to score. The course is a real test, bold in it's design, and after playing it a few times, grows on you.

Played Inniscrone this Thursday and liked some things about this course, and at times I was underwhelmed. After the first two holes, I thought I was in for a banner day...it seemed like it would be an unforgettable experience, but then the wheels came off, and the walking got tougher, and never recovered. I'd go back and play it again, but I don't know if I'd go there before I'd go to Scotland Run or Rock Manor.
