Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms is one of the better public courses in the LA area, and is an old standard for great golf. Two quality courses here the Dwight D. Eisenhower and Babe Didrikson Zaharias. The Eisenhower plays to almost 7200 yards from the tips and a 149 slope, while the Zaharias is 6800 yards, 144 slope, but both have three other sets of tees. The courses were designed by William F. Bell, Jr, and are located 20 miles east of downtown LA. The whole development including a hotel and conference center is on a 600 acre tract of land on a hill with great views of the San Gabriel and San Bernandino mountains and the Los Angeles area when it's clear. The courses are parkland style on hilly land, heavy tree lined fairways with a good amount of bunkers and water hazards. The greens are good sized with undulating and somewhat quick. There's some blind shots, doglegs, overall very challenging courses, well maintained, and fairly hefty green fees.
