Indianhead is just off I-39 at the Rt 153 exit, on the north side of the airport. Save for a couple of holes along the Interstate and Indianhead Road and an industrial facility, the layout is in a natural setting. Nice mix of interesting holes, some through tight tree lined fairways, others more wide open. There's a few holes with water, not much in the way of sand, overall a fair and forgiving course. The front side is more open, while the back runs through the trees, and has a lot more character than the front. There's three sets of tees from 5,000 yards to 6,179 yards where we usually play, with a 126 slope and 69.7 course rating. Warm up your game on the front side, the back is 4-5 shots tougher! Likely the best public course in the area.
