Indian Bayou is a 27 hole course, just west of the Mid-Bay Bridge off the Emerald Coast Parkway. The course does border some housing on the perimeter of the layout, but for the most part, the holes are either parallel, with some separation, or isolated and tree lined. The courses were designed by Earl Stone, with the Seminole and Choctaw in 1978, and the Creek in 1991. Definitely one of the better layouts in Destin, probably more fair than some of the other resort courses, but still challenging. Off the tee, it's mostly forgiving, the fairways are tree lined, with water in play on at least 15 of the 27 holes. The greens are good sized, well guarded, by either bunkers or water, and are reasonably fast with some undulation. The facility and course are in great shape, and the restaurant has some of the best food in the area. As far as ratings, the Seminole/Choctaw is 74.6/132, 7078 yards; Choctaw/Creek is 74.1/139, 6897 yards; Seminole Creek 74.7/142, 7047 yards all from the Gold tees.
