Hunstanton was founded in 1891 and essentially designed by James Braid over George Fernie's original 9 hole layout. The course is routed over linksland between the river Hun and the Wash, a bay of sorts of the North Sea. The course is mostly level through 8 holes on slightly undulating fairways, but then turns back home through the dunesland with some change in character, elevation, sea views, and mounding of the dunes. It's a fine example of links golf, fairly priced, and wind always a factor. Northeast of Cambridge, England 2 hours on the coast.
